As you know, we had a blizzard on Monday. These are a few of the pictures Alan took after the wind settled down. Click on the pictures twice if you want a better view. This is Grandma and Grandpa Baum's front porch.

These pictures are taken looking east toward the Tetons from in front of the east cellar.

These pictures remind me of the layer of rock named Navaho that you can see out at the wedge on the desert. Look at how the wind carves the snow into such interesting shapes.

This is my garden ornament. It sticks out of the soil about three feet. So you can see we have a good snow depth

This is the front of the east cellar. You can see how high the snow drifted from the blizzard.

This is Zack in the Joh Deere clearing our neighbor's driveway.

I think Zack was trying to blow the snow across the highway into the windbreak.

These are pictures Alan took this morning (Thursday) of the sunrise. Approximately 7:40 a.m. Its pretty nice when you can look out your kitchen window and see this in the morning.

This picture show the snow depth from the highway. It is pretty deep out there so don't get off the track.

amazing pictures. the cold we have down here isn't as extreme as yours, but still a lot more than we're used to and so unremitting. dennis has been shoveling snow this am; only an inch deep, but lots of concrete sidewalks to uncover. i made european chicken salad and cream of asparagus soup for a warm winter lunch yesterday and dennis is eating the last of it for breakfast.
i was sorry to hear about your friend's death. i'm sure i have heard you talk about kevin and dawn.
well, keep on taking those great pictures and as soon as i figure out how to run my little camera, recharge the batteries, find the camera cord and get pictures on my blog i will update. knowing me it may take a while.
it's time to go to the mail and see if esme's pattern is here. i've got less than a month to make her dress. see ya, liz
That looks beautiful. I'm so excited to come up soon.
I am so glad you guys are getting so much snow. Those pictures are absolutely amazing. I'm going to show my students and some of the faculty at Jordan High. I can't help but feel jealous of all that snow. Neither can Andrew. We wish we were the Jorgensen's and were going up for some fun in the snow. But I guess we'll just stick it out here. I love the pictures!!! I might have to save a few onto my computer. By the way check our blog to see some also amazing pictures!!!
Wow, i'm shocked...So much snow
