Just a few more pictures that I took on Wednesday evening. We moved from Squirrel to Green Timber about 6:00 p.m. to the 270 acres we farm on the Stegelmeier Place. So while I was waiting with dinner and for everyone come from Squirrel, I tooke these pictures.
This is looking to the south and at the white elevator in Lamont. It is in one of my other pictures from my Wednesday post. Somebody sure had a lot of grain to cut. It rained this a.m. so we are not cutting today. We still have 550+ acres to go.

This is looking east at theTeton range from the Stegelmeier Place. This is Red Mountain.

Looking west. I call thiscomposition "Red Grain Cart in the Sunset." I think I could make it into a song.

Pretty picture of the Tetons and the trees. Notice "Stacks" on the bridge. Our favorite grain truck.

This is called "I am the King of Combining."

This is called "I am the King of Dirt."

This is the picture I took from Highland. I look at it and it almost seems like I photoshopped that tree and field onto a background. But no, it came out this way. It is a good shot.

Great pictures I confess to a curiosity about a truck named "stacks". Why is it your favorite truck? Does Zack often get to stand up on the top of the combine or was he doing a victory dance? And Alan, I didn't know you could get that dirty from riding around in a combine. Obviously there is more to all of this than what I know. I loved the picture of red mountain.
Thanks for more pictures. I love them all. Are you going to do anything special with all of these pictures? Just wondering, because if you aren't then I am. So thanks for the recipes. I know Lauren did love those a lot. My email is schauerhamer_guy@yahoo.com by the way. Miranda and Jenny are coming up this weekend to go dress shopping. I have parent teacher conferences on tuesday and wednesday then, olympics on wednesday and Thursday and then no school friday! But then dress shopping on Friday and Saturday and the general relief society conference tickets to see it in the conference center on Saturday. I think Sara and Stacy will come along with me, hopefully. It should be a crazy week. I"ll be somewhat glad when it is over. Keep posting beautiful pictures. I'm glad you liked leah's I'll try and be a little bit more punctual with the pictures but it will be a little harder this week. I'll try though.
By the way, you will be proud of me, I bottled peaches and salsa with Sara and Stacy yesterday. We did a pretty good job. Check out Stacy's blog soon.
What beautiful pictures! I love them! In a comment on one of my posts you asked how things were going. Everything is great! My first trimester was a little rough (sick all day, every day). I wondered if I'd ever like food again (I think Craig did too - he was getting tired of frozen dinners!!). But around week 12, I started feeling better and now at week 18, I'm feeling great! My ultrasound is scheduled for Oct. 17 so we'll have to let everyone know what the gender is! Anyway, hope you guys are all doing well!
I have a neighbor that was trained by a world renowned, did I spell that right?, photographer. He said he has learned mostly by trial and error. He gave us great tips and said that you must read your camera manual. It is a must! Know how to use your camera and that is the bigest part of it. The rest is tricks of the trade. It was a great learning experience for me.
